Faustina Ash

It all started with a worn-out copy of Tales from the Crypt that 8-year-old me bought for $0.25 in a dingy used bookstore back in Brooklyn, N.Y. I had never seen anything quite like this little book before that moment and I knew I had to read it. In line to pay, I hid it under an Archie comic book so my mother wouldn’t notice the lurid cover and stop me. From that moment on I was hooked, and I’ve been reading and collecting comic books and graphic novels ever since. I currently live, knit and work in Portland, Oregon with my husband, our two children and my little dog (he’s no Lockjaw but I still love him very much).
