I’m a passionate arts enthusiast originally hailing from Tennessee. I briefly attended the University of North Carolina at Asheville before moving to Denver and eventually ending up in Portland, Oregon. Though I’m not an artist myself, I have a deep love for the arts. I find immense fulfillment in immersing myself in the creative expressions of others, whether that be through comics, music, paintings, or performance art. My favorite comic artist is Simon Hanselmann, whose work I find to be a powerful blend of the humor and pain of life, filtered through an intense inward and outward examination.

My favorite day of the year is attending the annual comics festival Short Run. When it comes to discovering new and exciting comics, I keep a keen eye on releases distributed or published by Floating World, Domino Books, and Spit & a Half. Their curated selections never cease to amaze me, and I always look forward to expanding my mind with their latest offerings.

I also take joy in collecting original comic art, where each piece tells a unique story and adds to the tapestry of my appreciation for artistic expression. I’m always eager to connect with fellow art enthusiasts, share experiences, and contribute to the ever-evolving artistic landscape of the Pacific Northwest.
